P. Alan LedgerThe University of Tennessee Alumni Association has been serving alumni since 1836 and extends membership to all alumni. Because there are no annual alumni dues, your gifts underwrite the strategic investments of scholarships, faculty support, career services, legislative advocacy and alumni programming, which are all vital to our continued growth and continued success.

  • Scholarships/Fund for the Future — Thanks to the Fund for the Future donors, approximately 150 students received a scholarship to pursue their goal of an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree in the past year.
  • Faculty Awards and Recognition — With our contributions, the UTAA is recognizing 32 faculty members who demonstrate a passion for teaching, a commitment to public service and a dedication to each campus and its students.
  • Career Services for Students and Alumni — In today's economy, it is important to have a professional network. Last year, we reached thousands through our webcasts and one-on-one career counseling appointments. We added job search tools and we have expanded regional alumni networking events.
  • Legislative Advocacy — Thanks to your generosity, the UT Office of Government Affairs and Legislative Advocacy promotes a strong relationship between the Tennessee legislature and our University of Tennessee, while leveraging the advocacy efforts of our alumni.

Your gift supports our most valuable resource – our UT community. If you have any questions, please email the UTAA staff at UTAA@utfi.org or call them at (865) 974-2115. If you are interested in more ways to get involved or unite with other alumni, please visit UTAAconnect.com.

Thank you very much for your gift, your loyalty and your involvement!

Sincerely,

P. Alan Ledger ('87 UTK)

The UT Board of Trustees has approved a budget that holds tuition increases to historic lows across all UT undergraduate campuses. The 1.8 percent increase marks the third consecutive year of tuition increases of 3 percent or lower, a track record that is unprecedented in the history of the University of Tennessee system. Trustees also approved historically low fee increases at all campuses.
