10/27: Forensic Artist Joanna Hughes in Weakley County

Posted on Thursday, September 24, 2009

When asked what she does for a living, forensic artist Joanna Hughes (UTK '02) usually answers, "I put faces on skulls." Joanna is the first person to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Forensic Art, which she created through the individualized program in UT Knoxville's College of Arts and Sciences. Joanna will be sharing stories from past cases and will also discuss her recent contributions to "Written in Bone," a new exhibit at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. This event was canceled in the spring and has been rescheduled.
