7/25: Richmond Alumni Picnic and Freshmen Send-Off

The UT Alumni chapter in Richmond, VA invites you to join us as we send current students off to their UT campuses. Come meet and greet current students and reconnect with area alumni. Picnic food will be served. See you there!

8/1: Annual CSRA Picnic & Golf Social Event

Date: August 1
Time: 11:00AM - 2:00PM ET
Location: Gordon Lakes Golf Course
Menu: Picnic grill-out catered by Gordon Lakes will be provided. Attendees are invited to bring a dessert to share.
Cost: $7.00 per person. There is no charge for current UT students.

The Central Savannah River Area UT Alumni Chapter invites current and incoming UT students, alumni, friends and family to our annual picnic. Join us as we send our students off to their UT Campuses. Picnic will be provided, and limited free golf rounds are available before and after the picnic, which will be held at the covered picnic facility near putting green.

Golf Social Event will include putting contest for everyone and limited free golf rounds before and after the picnic.

Rounds of Golf: Dr. Thomas G. England ('73 EDD UT, Knoxville) is donating a limited number of free rounds of golf for UT students and alumni and their spouses (9 hole green fee walking). Limited tee times available - so make your reservation early.

Directions: Enter Fort Gordon at Gate 1 (from Gordon Highway – U.S. Route 78); the entrance road at Gate 1 is Chamberlain Avenue; follow Chamberlain Avenue past the tall main building on Fort Gordon – Signal Towers; turn left on 25th Street; turn left on Range Road; turn left at Gordon Lakes Golf Course sign; the Pavilion is visible from the parking lot (club house to the left; Pavilion to the right). Entry to Ft Gordon requires: Drivers license, Picture ID, Registration, Proof of Insurance and Fort Gordon prohibits use of cell phones while you are driving.

8/1: Beers and Bones with the Atlanta Chapter

You can't miss this year's Pre-Season Kick-off Tailgate with special guest Dr. Bill Bass! Dr. Bass, a world-renowned forensic anthropologist founded the University of Tennessee's Anthropology Research Facility -"the Body Farm"-a quarter-century ago. He is the author or coauthor of more than two hundred scientific publications, as well as a critically acclaimed memoir about his career, Death's Acre.

Cost of registration includes food, beer, water and lots of FUN including a presentation by Dr. Bass!

8/7: Johnny Majors - Rockabilly Music Festival

Join UT alumni and fans as we welcome former UT football coach, Johnny Majors, to Jackson. A special reception will be held for UTA alumni and fans prior to the Music Festival program. Later on the program, Johnny Majors will speak and the Ace Cannon dance band will perform. Wear your orange and white, sit in the reserved UT section and enjoy a fun-filled evening.

7/23: Davidson Co. All Sports Picnic

Join the Davidson County UT Alumni Chapter for this great, annual event. Welcome Vols Head Football Coach Lane Kiffin, emcee Voice of the Vols Bob Kesling and representatives from the men's and women's basketball teams to Nashville.

A BBQ picnic with all the fixin's will be served. Silent Auction items include 4 passes with a Neyland Stadium Tour and attendance to a Walk-Thru before a home football game, 2 guest coach spots for a 2009-2010 Lady Vols basketball game, a signed guitar by Taylor Swift and so much more!

From Milan: Take Hwy 45 Bypass to Jackson. Take right on St. Rt. 187 West. Go 4.1 miles. Driveway on left.
From Humboldt: Take Hwy. 45 Bypass until you reach 79N - 70A East Junction (Heritage Inn will be on the right). Take a right onto 79N 70A (toward Milan). Go approx. 1.8 Miles. Take a right on St. Rt 187 East Travel 4.0 miles, turn right into driveway.
