Leadership Conference is held each summer in late June to allow chapter leadership to learn about the UTAA, the Chapter program, and about other chapters affiliated with the UTAA. The conference has traditionally been held in conjunction with the UTAA Board of Governors meeting.
Each active and informal chapter is given the opportunity to send one representative of the chapter to the Leadership Conference. Chapters base their decision of who to send on the current chapter leadership and the needs of the chapter. The UTAA covers the expenses of the chapter representative that attends the conference (food, hotel, conference materials, etc.), except for incidentals at the hotel and travel to/from the conference.
The conference gives the attendees an overview of the University of Tennessee, its campuses, the UTAA, the Chapter program, and allows attendees to fellowship with other chapter leaders from chapters across the State of Tennessee and the United States.
