Chapter News & Events
The alumni chapter awards program identifies actions on which an alumni chapter can focus its efforts. It assists the chapter leaders in prioritizing activities that will lead to more successful and stronger alumni programming. It is our hope that the awards program will serve as a road map for successful chapter management.
Award winners will be announced on the UTAA homepage and in the following publications: Tennessee Alumnus, Chattanooga Today, Campus Scene, and Torchbearer. A recognition plaque in the alumni office will list each year’s award winners, and they will receive a certificate of merit for the chapter’s archives. Meeting announcements for award-winning chapters will carry a special award winner designation for one year.
The most successful chapters will challenge themselves to incorporate as many actions as possible into their annual plan. The alumni chapter awards program is meant to serve as a guide for successful chapter programming resulting in increased attendance and enthusiastic support of the university and local alumni chapter.
