Lofton K. Stuart is executive director of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association and special assistant to the university president. He has overall responsibility for the UT Alumni Association and the system-wide office of alumni affairs and annual giving. Stuart also works closely in a dotted-line relationship with Henry Nemcik, UT vice president for alumni and development. From September 2004 until May 2007, Stuart was executive assistant to President Petersen. He served in the same capacity for former UT President Joe Johnson beginning in September 2003. Since joining the UT staff in 1972, Stuart also has held the positions of assistant director of annual giving, director of alumni programs, director of alumni affairs for UT Knoxville, and assistant vice president for alumni programs. Stuart earned his UT undergraduate degree in agriculture in 1971 and has done graduate work in the College of Communication and Information. He has been active in the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the professional organization for university advancement staff. He was a trustee for CASE International and a board member for the CASE southeastern district. He lives in Knoxville.

Lori Calvert joined the UT Alumni Affairs office as Director of Alumni Programs in July 2007. She serves as director and ex-officio of the UT Alumni Association’s Women’s Council, a 17 member volunteer council focused on educating and advancing women as volunteer leaders, student recruiting and special programs. She also manages the UTAA’s scholarship program which funds approximately 400 scholarships each year. She joined the University of Tennessee alumni staff after nearly 12 years with Scripps Networks where she was Director of Marketing. Prior to her position as Director of Marketing, she held the following positions: Marketing & Events Manager, Public Affairs Manager and Public Relations, Talent & Event Coordinator. Lori graduated from East Tennessee State University in 1993 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in PR and Advertising and an Art minor.

Lisa Colletti-Jones has been the Assistant Director of the Telefund Program since 2003. She began working for the Telefund Program during the fall of 1999 as a student caller. After 4 years with the Telefund Program, Lisa was promoted into her current role as Assistant Director. Lisa graduated from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism in 2002. Lisa is currently working on a second Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. Lisa is married to Kristopher Jones EHHS 02'.


Brian HardyBrian Hardy

Brian Hardy serves as the Assistant Vice President of Annual Giving. His responsibilities include the management of all direct mail, telephone and electronic solicitations for each of UT’s campuses. Prior to joining the University of Tennessee staff in June of 2005, Brian served as the Director of Annual Giving at his alma mater, East Carolina University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern District of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. Brian’s wife, Jennifer, is also a UT employee, serving as the Associate Registrar for the Knoxville campus.

Carol Glasgow Kirkland has been Director of Alumni Programs in West Tennessee since September 1, 2002. After attending the University of Tennessee Knoxville for two years she received her bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Tennessee Martin in 1967 and her master’s degree in 1972. She and her husband, Dr. Ron Kirkland, have served the UTAA as volunteers for a number of years including Ron being UTAA president. Carol is a past member of the Women’s Council. They have four grown children who have all graduated from the UT system.

Haylee Reynolds Marshall joined the UTAA as the Assistant Director of Alumni Programs in July 2007 after serving as the public relations coordinator for the University of Tennessee's athletic department. Haylee is a 2006 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism/public relations. Haylee has a wide variety of experience in the field of public relations working as an intern for the Tennessee Titans, East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knox County Schools and past Majority Leader Senator Bill Frist. Haylee is originally from Knoxville and now resides in Corryton, TN with her husband Steven Marshall.

Angela Mills joined the Alumni Affairs office as Director of Alumni Programs in January of 2007 to work closely with the many chapters of the UTAA. She came to the UTAA from the University of Tennessee College of Law where she was the Assistant Director of Development and Alumni Affairs beginning in June 2004. Angela arrived on UT’s campus in April of 2003 where she served as Assistant Director of Development for the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. After graduating with her bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in marketing in May of 2001 from Mary Washington College, Angela went to work with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, as the Development Assistant for the National Symphony Orchestra. Angela is the current president of Tennessee Advancement Resources Council (TARC).

Susie Orr, Director of Donor Benefits and Alumni Programs, has been at The University of Tennessee for 30 years and has been in the Development and Office of Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving for this entire career. A 1974 graduate of the College of Business at UT, Knoxville, Susie began at the University in the Annual Giving Program in 1977. Since that time, Susie has been responsible for or assisted with donor recognition and donor benefits, Big Orange Tailgate Tour, stewardship, alumni chapters, and many other alumni programs such as Alumni Summer College, Women’s Council, and Board of Governors and Leadership Conference. Susie currently has staff responsibility for a number of alumni chapters across the country. She is married with two children and three of the world’s most precious grandchildren.

Kris Phillips joined the UT Alumni Association as a Director of Alumni Programs on September 11, 2001. His primary responsibilities include managing all affinity marketing programs for the UTAA including the Affinity Card Program, Tennessee Travelers (international tours), Traveling Vols (athletic tours), alumni directory (print/CD Rom and online), and the recently added auto, home and life alumni discount insurance program. Kris also manages sponsorships for the UTAA, and the Big Orange Tailgate Tour (a pre-game tailgate program for football and men’s and women’s basketball). Until recently Kris worked closely with 15 alumni chapters in Florida and Tennessee. With the added responsibility of growing the affinity marketing program, Kris now works with his hometown chapter of Clarksville (Montgomery Co., Tenn). He is a 1991 graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, where he served in various positions in the admissions and alumni/development offices including Director of Alumni and Annual Giving prior to joining the UT staff. Phillips is an active member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. He currently serves on the CASE District III (Southeast) Board of Directors. He is married to a former Georgia Bulldog and raising two sons (as UT supporters, of course!)

Jada Williams has worked with the Telefund Program since it began in 1985.She began working at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in 1976 and moved to the UT Knoxville campus in 1979. Jada was a non-traditional college student, working full-time and going to school part-time. She graduated Cum Laude in 1992 and received the Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Jada is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Golden Key National Honor Society. As Director of Alumni Programs, Jada oversees the operation of UT's student-based Telefund Program which has raised more than $6.7 million in support of scholarships, classroom equipment and other programming needs.

Kerry Witcher is the Assistant Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving at The University of Tennessee. In this position he serves as the chief operations officer for the UT Alumni Association, the 305,000 member organization serving alumni from each of the university’s five campuses. A 1981 graduate of Tennessee with a degree in marketing, he began his professional career in sales and marketing working for a pharmaceutical company. Kerry went to work for his alma mater in 1987 as Director of Alumni Programs. In addition to his current position, he has served in the roles of Director of Alumni Programs (1987-1992) and Assistant Vice President for Annual Giving (1992-2004) at UT. He also served as Interim Executive Director of the Association from September 2006 to May 2007. A native of Lafayette, Tennessee, He and his wife reside in Knoxville with their eleven-year-old daughter.
